Description: A lovely Florentine gilt shelf. This pretty decorative piece dates from the 1920’s. Constructed from carved wood with its original gilt surface. The shelf has a scalloped edge, the undersides of the top are carved with radiating acanthus leaves. The bracket is supported by further scrolling leaves. Just the right size of shelf for a couple of bathroom essentials to reside.

Condition: Very good. Some marking to the shelf top surface from age and use. The shelf itself is strong and secure. There is a small hanging hook to its top edge for installation.
