Description: Wonderful antique soap dish, dating from the first half of the 19th Century. Stamped with the makers mark FW on the reverse. Excellent quality, having been cast in solid brass with chrome plate finish. The backplate is shaped in a classic, timeless style and comes with its original domed screw, ready to install. The dish is easy to clean with a removable drip tray. This piece would look great positioned next to a basin or bath in a bathroom or cloakroom space. I currently have a matching soap dish (see photo 6) which is listed for sale separately.

Condition: Very good. The chrome plating has worn slightly with age and use to reveal traces of the brass underneath. The item is stamped with the makers mark FW on the reverse of the backplate and drip tray.
