Description: Originally church pew rails this pair of antique rails are generous in size making them perfect to hang towels in a kitchen or bathroom. Their simple clean design lines are balanced with a 4 sided gothic star to each end. They are made in brass with a wonderful aged patina to the surface and traces of gilding to each of the ends. Condition: Very good. Signs of wear commensurate with the age and use of the piece. The rail is constructed from tubular brass and the backplates are in cast brass with gilding.
