Description: Original quality antique mahogany shelf dating from the Victorian period. Lovely decorative piece with a putti hook to the bracket. The modelling on the putti head is of exceptional quality. As a comical twist the tongue sticks out to form a hook. Just the right size of shelf for several bathroom essentials to reside or for a vase in a hallway setting. The hook is a handy size for a wash cloth or set of keys.

Condition: Very good. All original, with 2 brass picture hooks to the reverse for installation. Only slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. The shelf ledge has a small chip to the back inside edge.
