Large Victorian Brass Bath Taps
Large Victorian Brass Bath Taps
Description: Beautiful large antique bath taps with an integral shaped spout. These taps would make a stunning focal point for a bathroom. Cast in solid brass they date to the Victorian era and are designed to be surface mounted. The date appears to the side of the taps of 1898, along with the makers stamp in tiny letters E&D.W.T. They would look particularly striking mounted on a ledge or plinth over the long side of a bath.
Condition: Very good. The brass is polished and unlacquered therefore a polish occasionally with brass cleaner will maintain this shine. The hot and cold ceramic indices show some signs of wear from age and use. These taps have been fully restored and new brass threads have been attached in order for the size to be compatible with modern plumbing of 3/4 BSP.
